An experiment for you:
Stretch out your arms. Hold your mobile phone tightly in your hands, hold for as long as you can. How long can you hold on to the phone? 30 minutes? 1 hour? You’ll get tired eventually. Now, turn your hands over, and drop the phone. (What’s your instinctive feeling?) You probably will not drop the phone, as it will be damaged by the fall. This is “Attachment“!
Now, move to your bed and drop the phone, you know the cushion will protect the phone, drop the phone. How does that feel? You will feel relieved, relaxed. “This is called “Letting go“!
What can you figure out from this experiment?
We cling on even to guilt, diseases, even though we know it is hurting us! How silly? Is letting go that difficult? When you start to think, that all actions began with a single thought, you will know that we are the true master of that thought. Because we are the ones “THINKING“! And we are letting that thought control our happiness? How preposterous Thoughts can be changed, very easily! You can think happy or sad. Its that easy!
